The rains have not slowed down construction teams! NYSEG and Dekatherm crews continue to make utility connections past the Masonic Temple and on both sides of East Main Street. Economy Paving crews also contine installing blacktop and fill around the Ron Don's/Bank area in order to prepare those areas for sidewalk pours. Crews from A & K Slipform and Syrstone are still expected to arrive on Thursday October 19th 2006 to begin the final sidwalk work, but that arrival is still weather dependent. Rains like the ones today can shut down concrete teams as the falling rain will wreck wet concrete.
