Bricks and Sidewalks

Yesterday (Monday October 23rd 2006) brick laying crews began to install bricks on sidewalks of the south side of West Main Street. As of this morning (Tuesday October 24th 2006), three brick patches had been completed and crews were approaching those patches near New York Pizzeria and the Reverby Law Office. No engraved bricks are going in as they have not/will not arrive in time for the brick laying crews to install them. ALL engraved bricks in the first wave order have been bought and paid for! They will arrive on site sometime in mid-November and will the Village will store them away until the weather warms up in the early summer of 2007. Then teams will return to replace the engraved bricks with the currently placed blank ones.

A & K teams did not arrive on Monday October 23rd 2006 over concerns about the weather. The MSP hopes to have them on site sometime this week.
