Masonic Temple Shrubs

As mentioned in a previous blog post (http://mainstreetproject.blogspot.com/2006/09/sidewalk-work-continues.html), and our website, and in the September 20th edition of The Trumansburg Free Press, the two small shrubs in front of the Masonic Temple on East Main Street were slated to be removed. They were removed around 2pm on October 3rd 2006 by Village Department of Public Works crews.

The trees were removed because the entire space in front of the Masonic Temple will be opened up and re-made into a small civic plaza to complement the larger one on by the Tompkins Trust Company bank location downtown. Part of the plaza by the Masonic Temple will include two semi-circular tree lawns where new trees will be replanted.
